Waarom jouw product mogelijk niet succesvol wordt
Elk jaar komen er honderden nieuwe producten op de markt en ze zijn lang niet allemaal even succesvol. Dat is ook niet zo gek wanneer je je bedenkt dat mensen tegenwoordig keuzes aan overvloed hebben. De totstandkoming van een keuze is vaak gebaseerd op basis van gevoel en niet op basis van onderzoek. Dit betekent letterlijk dat bedrijven maar wat doen wanneer ze een nieuw product lanceren. Ze gebruiken hun eigen personeel vaak als klankbord, waardoor er eigenlijk totaal geen uitsluitsel is over wat nu precies moet zorgen voor het succes van het nieuwe product. Hoe moet je dan wel aan de slag gaan? Dat leg ik je uit in deze blog.
Zorg eerst eens voor een testgroep
Een testgroep kan ervoor zorgen dat jij meer duidelijkheid krijgt over welke functionaliteiten er minimaal in het nieuwe product moeten zitten. Wanneer je een testgroep gaat samenstellen kun je dit het beste doen op basis van vergelijkbare interesses binnen de doelgroep. Zo kun je overlappende interesses gebruiken als basis voor de vorming van je testgroep.
Begin dan aan een concept
De tweede stap is het realiseren van een concept. Dit betekent dat je een concept design maakt, dat dient als de blauwdruk voor jouw te ontwikkelen product. Zorg ook dat je de testgroep betrekt bij het ontwikkelen van deze blauwdruk. Het beste is om later namelijk niet af te wijken van deze blauwdruk.
Ga dan naar productontwikkeling
De stap daarna is productontwikkeling, hierin ga je niet het eindproduct maken maar een testbaar product voor jouw testgroep. Een andere naam hiervoor is een prototype. Zorg dat je in deze fase werkt door middel van sprints, zodat je steeds kleine aanpassingen aan je product kunt testen en optimaliseren.
De laatste stap: marketing
De laatste stap is mensen kennis laten maken met je product. Doordat je constant hebt samengewerkt met een deel van je doelgroep is deze stap natuurlijk een eitje. Je weet precies wat ze verwachten en waarom zij jouw product zouden willen gebruiken.
