Een waterleiding in de badkamer vervangen
In dit artikel leest u informatie over het vervangen en aanleggen van een waterleiding toepasbaar in de keuken, badkamer of het toilet. Het vervangen van een waterleiding kan een lastige klus zijn maar dit afhankelijk van een aantal factoren. Ligt de waterleiding bijvoorbeeld vrij, ofwel kunt u er gemakkelijk bij of is de waterleiding weggewerkt in uw muur of plafond en moet u dus ruimte creëren om de waterleiding te vervangen? Voorwerk voor het vervangen van een waterleiding
Om de betreffende waterleiding te vervangen moet u er in ieder geval voor zorgen dat de waterleiding vrij toegankelijk is. Indien u enkel een gedeelte van de waterleiding wilt vervangen vanwege bijvoorbeeld een lekkage, dient u eerst de lekkage op te sporen. Indien u de lekkage is gevonden moet u bepalen wat de diameter van de waterleiding is. De diameter voor zowel warm als koud water leidingen kan gelijk blijven. Waarbij de onderstaande richtlijnen worden aangehouden;
- Hoofdwaterleiding: 22 mm diameter
- aftakkingen in douche, bad en keuken: 15 mm diameter
- Toiletkraan en wastafelkraan; 12 mm diameter
Welk type waterleiding uitkiezen?
Bij waterliedingen wordt bijna altijd gebruik gemaakt van roodkoperen buizen. Je hebt hierbij de keus uit harde en zachte buizen. De zachte buizen zijn beschikbaar per rol, ook wel wicu-buis genoemd. De Wicu-buis is dan ook gemakkelijk te bewerken dankzij haar flexibliteit. De harde buizen zijn verkrijgbaar in rechte vormen. U dient bij deze variant dus gebruik te maken van koppelingen bij bochten. Tegenwoordig neemt tevens de vraag naar kunststof buizen toe. De prijzen hiervan liggen financieel een stuk aantrekkelijker in verhouding met de traditionele koperen buizen.
Waterleidingen solderen met koppelingen
Als u gebruik wilt maken van koperen leidingen kunt u deze aan elkaar verbinden met soldeer koppelingen. Indien u makkelijk bij de leidingen kunt is het handig om gebruik te maken van knelkoppelingen. Deze zijn iets duurder in aanschaf maar gemakkelijk te bevestigen zonder soldeerwerk. Het kan echter ook nodig zijn om leidingen aan elkaar te moeten solderen hiervoor heeft u de onderstaande materialen nodig;
- Pijpensnijder
- Thinner voor het vetvrij maken van de leiding
- Schuurpapier voor het verwijderen van braampjes
- Loodvrij soldeerdraad
- S-39 koper kiwa
- En een gasbrander
Zorg er eerst voor dat u de juiste lengte van de te vervangen leiding heeft. Met een pijpensnijder kunt de gewenste lengte snijden. Vervolgens dienen haakjes en braampjes fijn te worden afgeschuurd met schuurpapier of een fijne vijl. In de krasjes die ontstaan op de leiding kan het soldeer de verbinding in lopen, hierdoor ontstaat een hechte verbinding tussen de 2 verbindingen. Maak vervolgens met de thinner de buis vetvrij en smeer beide uiteindes in met de S-39 kiwa.
De uiteindes kunt u hierna aan elkaar bevestigen en middels de gasbrander dient u de buis + koppeling gelijkmatig te verwarmen. Hou het soldeerdraad tegen de leiding om te bekijken of u de juiste temperatuur heeft bereikt. Breng vervolgens het soldeer aan waardoor dit de verbinding intrekt. Zet de gasbrander uit en als gevolg van de afkoeling ontstaat een sterke verbinding. Zorg ervoor dat u tijdens het solderen de componenten zo min mogelijk beweegt en verwijder vervolgens de soldeerresten.
Loodgieter inschakelen
